Do not watch any more of these backyard mechanics videos....they haven't a clue....she doesn't even kinow how to use a Ballpeen hammer!!!! Look elsewhere!!!!

The battery draw-down is a very simple diagnosis and solution. Alternators have diodes inside that only allow 1 way current flow, once they open, or short they can draw down and also not charge the battery.....Do NOT try to fix by banging on the alt with a HAMMER, you DOLT!!! Most don't know this, but the voltage regular houses the diodes and and aged units will also need to also the carbon wipers (brushes) to the spinning stator (the piece that rotates). All this done without taking out or even loostening the alternator...you do it externall on the back of the alternator....4 small screws!!! Cost is about $30 bucks for both the regulator and the brush kit. Problem fixed for 90% of draw-down and non-charging alternators! Their is way too many unknowlegdable folks trying to pass themselves off as experts on RUclips...when all they really are, are uninformed parts-changer back yard mechanics!!!! Remember, these folks are doing these non-fact checked videos FOR MONEY!!!!

Rotors are now just expendable items. Finding a machine shop that turns them properly is difficult, if they do them at all.

I'm a first time viewer who has 11 9th gen Ford trucks of various engine combinations. I'm real curious as to the satisfaction or not of this Holly Terminator set up ? My ONLY complaint about this truck style is that once the original fuel pumps decend, it's very hard to keep the trucks reliable. I would very much appreciate hearing back from ya . Back in the late 80s I had a 74 ss hatchback nova red with two black stripes on it.

A 351 Modified 400 engine gets 5 to 6 mpg on gas if that much..I had that same exact truck and couldn't afford to drive it so I just used it for hauling firewood as close as possible to my home at the time lol..I'm not going to dog the truck cause it never failed to start and ran great but I couldn't afford to just take a road trip with it and that was in the 90s when gas was a bit cheaper. That's the only vehicle I've ever had that loved the gasoline lol..I really don't understand what Ford thought they were doing when they decided to build those engine's

What a fun tour! And what a great car! Tell you what though, better pull off the timing cover and check the timing chain & camshaft gear; Olds V-8's have nylon cam gears and tend to strip at around 100k. Make sure to pull the oil gallery bolt and clean the oil metering hole really well; that will keep your timing chain lubed. I usually replace the nylon gear with a steel one; they make some noise but I never had problems aftrrward. Use some zinc in your motor oil to lube the lifters and cam.
